Abandoned ENC
Exploring the Forgotten Corners of Eastern North Carolina:
A Visual Journey Through Abandoned Homes, Barns, and Lost Histories
Breathing Life into Yesterday
Abandoned ENC is my journey along Eastern North Carolina’s quiet backroads, capturing weathered farmhouses, leaning tobacco barns, and forgotten churches—each holding stories time forgot.
This page is not just about photographs, but about preserving a feeling—the hush of a field at dusk, the creak of an old porch in the wind, the way sunlight softens chipped paint. Many of these places will soon be gone, but through these images, I hope to keep their memory alive just a little longer.
More recently, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with several people who have restored some of these old homes, breathing life back into their walls. It’s a reminder that not every story ends in silence—sometimes, there is still hope for these forgotten places.
